Directions From Western New York
If you are entering Canada from Western New York and coming directly to Niagara-on-the-Lake, the Lewiston/Queenston Bridge is the best way to cross the border (the Rainbow Bridge is a good alternative too). From Interstate 90 West, take I-290 around Buffalo to the north and then I-190 North directly to the Lewiston/Queenston Bridge. From I-90 East, take I-190 North to the bridge.
Once clear of Canada Customs inspection at the Lewiston/Queenston Bridge, you will be on Ontario Highway 405. Take the first exit from Highway 405 at Stanley Road, about 2 miles from the Lewiston/Queenston Bridge. At the stop sign on the exit ramp turn right and follow the signs towards Niagara-on-the-Lake. After about 2 miles you will encounter a small roundabout at the intersection with the Niagara Parkway. Again, follow the signs towards Niagara-on-the-Lake and you will be on The Niagara Parkway with about 6 miles to go to Niagara-on-the-Lake. The Niagara Parkway changes name, first to Queen's Parkade in front of Fort George, then to Picton Street and finally to Queen Street when you enter Niagara-on-the-Lake. Directions From Eastern and Southwestern Ontario
Find the best way onto the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) coming towards Niagara Falls, likely via Highways 401 and 403. Once you are on the QEW follow it towards Niagara Falls. Before you actually reach Niagara Falls, take exit 38B (the exit reads Regional Road 55, Niagara Stone Road) from the QEW (exit 38B is about 400 metres/440 yards beyond exit 38A). This will bring you around the cloverleaf and onto a bridge over the QEW.
Continue about 0.3 km/0.2 miles to the 2nd traffic light where the road you are on currently ends. Turn left onto York Road. Take it about 0.3 km/0.2 miles to Airport Road and turn right onto it. Continue on Airport Road for about 3 km/2 miles to the second stop sign, at the intersection of Airport Road and Regional Road 55 (also known as the Niagara Stone Road). Turn right onto Regional Road 55 and continue on it for about 10 km/6 miles. This will bring you straight through 4 traffic lights, into Niagara-on-the-Lake Old Town and to a traffic light at the intersection with Mary Street. Turn left onto Mary Street.
About 0.2 km/0.15 miles along Mary Street, the street curves very gently to the left and becomes Lakeshore Road. We are about 0.2 km/0.15 miles further along. Look for us on the left hand side - we have a Bed & Breakfast sign on our front lawn, a "Newark Manor" sign over the front door and "1893" on our mailbox along the road side."
